In the drought-hit Thar Desert, women used to walk miles under the scorching sun just to fetch a pot of water—often unfit to drink. CHCS stepped in with a life-changing solution: digging more than 2,000 drinking water wells across Thar, many powered by solar pumps. These wells now provide safe, sweet water at people’s doorsteps, benefiting thousands of humans as well as animals every single day.
